Community Workshop for the General Plan's Coastal Resilience & Safety Element
You’re invited to the community workshop for the Coastal Resilience & Safety Element!
The City of Newport Beach is continuing to review and prepare an update for the community’s General Plan to reflect the future needs and aspirations over the next 25 years. A key part of this important update is engaging with all stakeholders, including residents and community members, to gather your vision of the City’s future. What does your Newport Beach look like in 2050?
In this workshop, the City staff and project team will share the Vision Statement, created based on Phase One input and research. The community will be asked to brainstorm in small groups on guiding principles, values, and goals, and share ideas on achieving those goals related to the Coastal Resilience and Safety Element. In addition, City staff will share a short presentation on the General Plan Update process so far.
Refreshments provided. Check-in will take place from 6:00 to 6:15 pm before the presentation begins.
Your thoughts, ideas, and input are important. We hope to see you there!
Can't make it? No worries! Before the workshop, a virtual engagement activity will be shared on the Get Engaged page.
